I. OVERVIEW The purpose of this Privacy Statement is to acquaint users and
visitors to CopterJobs with the policies regarding personal
information.
A. Commitment to Privacy by CopterJobs
1. CopterJobs is committed to protecting the privacy of the employers, jobseekers, and all users.
CopterJobs will use its best efforts to ensure that information submitted remains private, and is
used only for the purposes as set forth herein and the Copterjobs Terms and Conditions of Use statement.
2. CopterJobs is an Internet based career services organization for the
Helicopter Industry. As such, CopterJobs will not sell the personal
information of the users of the site. The information posted by
users on Copterjobs is for the sole use of individuals searching for a job or
employers, recruiters and human resources personnel who pay to have access
to the CV/Resume database and post jobs. Private information given to CopterJobs by users is not
for sale to any third parties or persons for any reason.
B. Information Concerning Visitors to CopterJobs
1. CopterJobs collects personal information from users strictly on a voluntary
basis. This information permits CopterJobs to provide users and visitors to the
site with private and secure areas to post and modify their original
content (resumes and jobs) placed on CopterJobs.
2. CopterJobs uses various software packages to gather information about users,
but does not intentionally target specific users. However, CopterJobs may use software
packages to trace a user who is violating the Terms and Conditions of Use.
3. In general, CopterJobs collects information to determine what pages visitors
most frequently use and what services and information areas the users
access. CopterJobs will only use such data anonymously and in the aggregate in
order to determine what services offered by CopterJobs are beneficial for
users, or to explain to advertisers which areas are best for their
advertising based on traffic patterns.
4. CopterJobs may share this information with partners, but only in the
aggregate, so that the partners may understand how visitors use the CopterJobs
site.
C. General Information Disclosure
1. Except as described herein, copterJobs does not disclose information about a
user's individual visits to CopterJobs, or personal information that they
provide, such as name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, credit
card number, personal references, etc., to any outside parties, except when
required by law or to protect CopterJobs and users.
2. Please note that if a user inputs any personal or private information on
a co-branded registration page, such as that of a CopterJobs partner or an
advertiser who has a company-sponsored contest or advertisement on CopterJobs,
then that information becomes the property of both CopterJobs and the
advertiser or partner. In that case, the use of personal information by the
advertiser or partner will be subject to the privacy policy of that company
and CopterJobs is not responsible for their use of personal information.
3. CopterJobs on occasion will employ other companies and individuals to
perform functions on the behalf of CopterJobs. Examples may include but are not
limited to: hosting web servers, analyzing data, providing marketing
assistance, processing credit card payments, and providing customer service.
These other companies will have access to personal information as necessary
to perform their functions, but may not share that information with any
third party.
D. Use of Tracking Devices and Software
1. To enhance the experience of a visitor CopterJobs uses
a feature commonly referred to as a "cookie" which is found on Internet
browsers. Cookies ar used only for the protection and convenience of
our visitors and users. Cookies are small files that a Web browser places on
a user computer's hard drive. These cookies are used for remembering user
names and passwords and preferences,tracking click streams, and for load
balancing. With the use of cookies, CopterJobs can deliver faster service and a
more personalized site experience. Cookies enable CopterJobs to serve secure
pages to users without requiring the user to repeatedly login.
2. A user has the option of setting their browser to reject cookies.
However, rejecting cookies will hinder performance and negatively impact
their experience when using the Internet and the CopterJobs site.
3. CopterJobs has advertisers who place banner advertisements on the
site. In the course of serving advertisements at CopterJobs, third-party
advertisers may place or recognize a unique "cookie" on a user's browser.
CopterJobs has no control over this practice and is not responsible for any
information or the use of any information collected in this manner.
4. In addition to advertisers, CopterJobs site contains links to other
sites. Users will be taken to a separate site if they click on one of these
links (i.e., links listed on the Resources page). CopterJobs is not
responsible for the privacy practices or content of any secondary websites.
CopterJobs encourages all users to review the privacy policy of any site they
visit or to which they are directed.
5. CopterJobs uses log files to track and monitor traffic
patterns on our site. The logs are not used to
track or monitor personally identifiable information.
II. PRIVACY REGARDING CV/RESUME SUBMISSION
A. Submission of CV/Resumes
1. CopterJobs is an Internet based job site for the helicopter industry.
CopterJobs provides jobseekers the opportunity and option to place their CV/resume
in the CopterJobs database. There are several methods of designing and posting a
CV/resume.
2. First, a user may post their CV/resume and allow their CV/resume to be
searchable to all employers and recruiters who pay for access to
the CopterJobs CV/resume database, and employees of CopterJobs.
When posting CV/resumes, the jobseeker/user decides how much contact
information to provide. Copterjobs will use its best efforts to only grant
access to the CV/resume by paying employers, recruiters, hiring managers,
and human resource personnel, and those CopterJobs employees
who have a legitimate need to have access to the resume database. CopterJobs
cannot absolutely guarantee that other parties will not, without CopterJobs consent,
gain access to the resume database through the use of hacking or other techniques.
Therefore, it is highly recommended never to place a Social Security Number on a CV/resume,
or similar information.
3. Second, a candidate may store their resume in the CopterJobs CV/resume
database, but not allow it to be searchable by potential employers.
Not allowing a resume to be searchable allows a jobseeker to maintain
a copy in the CopterJobs CV/resume database to edit from the jobseeker's homepage,
update or use it to apply for a job online, but employers and recruiters will not have access
to search it through the CopterJobs CV/resume database.
4. CopterJobs offers free voluntary registration to those individuals who opt
to post their CV/resume in the CopterJobs CV/resume database. During registration the
user is requested to supply an ID, Password, name, mailing address, email
address, and items related to their job search. This information is required
if the jobseeker wants to use and participate in CopterJobs services.
B. Removal of a CV/Resume
A jobseeker may remove their CV/resume from the searchable database at any time
However, employers and recruiters who have had access to the database, and other
parties who have otherwise gained access to the database, may have retained a copy
of the CV/resume in their own files or databases prior to the removal of the CV/resume
by the candidate. CopterJobs is not responsible for the retention, use, or privacy of
CV/resumes in these instances, or for the use or privacy of CV/resumes by any of such
parties while CV/resumes are in the database.
C. Updating Account Information
CopterJobs allows candidates to change or correct personal information at any
time. This is accomplished by logging onto the jobseeker's homepage. Copterjobs
is not responsible for personal information by the jobseeker. The access to this section
is by use of an ID and Password set and chosen by the candidate.

Communication with Copterjobs can be done through the Contact page. Any correspondence
submitted through this area becomes the property of CopterJobs. We may
use this information for marketing purposes, or to contact the user regarding
the information they provided.
B. Changes to the Privacy Statement
Should CopterJobs decide to change the Privacy Statement, the changes will be
posted in this section. If, at any time, the user has questions or
