3 Full years of Adult ICU/ER Experience
Weight restriction of 220lbs.
Air-medical transport of the critically ill/injured patient to a definitive care facility.
Duties:
•Responsible for completion and submissions of flight records.
•Responsible for daily Narcotic Count.
•Provide pre-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is relinquished to the accepting medical facility maintaining thorough patient care documentation.
•Maintains competency in knowledge and psychomotor skills by participating in ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences.
•Maintains documentation of required licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and advanced procedures in the Employee Education Manual.
•Knowledgeable in use and routine malignance of all equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

•Regularly reach with hand and arms; speak and hear
•Must currently meet and maintain a weight of 220 lbs.
•Consistently required to sit, stand, walk, climb and/or balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, crouch and smell
•Frequently lift and/or move up to 150 pounds
•Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
•Must be able to sit in assigned aircraft seat in an upright position and restrained by 4-point system while wearing a helmet.
•Required to work frequently near moving mechanical parts
•Required to work in outside weather conditions
•Frequently exposed to blood-borne pathogens or airborne particles
•Frequently exposed to vibrations/turbulence
•Exposed to loud noise levels requiring headphones while in flight and at a moderate level when in a hospital environment
Requirements:
•Graduate of accredited school of nursing, licensure in state of practice.
•BCLS, ACLS, PALS, Trauma Course (PHTLS or BTLS) prior to flight status classes are given in Air Evac Lifeteam Aeromedical Academy.
•EMT-B required prior to hire in Arkansas, required within 6 months of hire TNCC or TNS in Illinois, required within 1 year of hire EMT-I and either a CEN, CCRN, or CFRN in Tennessee
•Three FULL years of ADULT Intensive Care Unit or Emergency Department experience as a Registered Nurse, REQUIRED.
