PHI, Inc., a world leader in helicopter aviation, has an opening for a Chief Pilot. The position is a full-time position based in Lafayette, Louisiana and reporting directly to the President/Chief Operating Officer. This position is responsible for the hiring and training of the PHI pilot staff, establishing standard operating procedures and maintaining required documentation in accordance with FAA regulations, PHI policies, and industry best representative. The successful candidate must hold a valid Helicopter Airline Transport Pilot-[Rotorcraft/Helicopter] certificate with a current first class FAA medical certificate. In order to meet the requirements of 14 CFR, Part 119.71, applicants must have within the past 6 years a minimum of 3 years experience as a pilot in command of an aircraft operated under part 135. Additionally, the applicant must have helicopter twin turbine and IFR experience. The successful candidate will also possess excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, computer software proficiency, strong decision making and problem solving skills, and experience with strategic planning within the framework of the Company's long term goals. Preference will be given to those candidates that have like experience in current operations such as offshore oil & gas support and/or Air Medical and interaction with the FAA in developing and maintaining operational documents such as General Operations Manuals.
